The richest of the rich.

Reality stars and their shows spark a guilty pleasure in many of us. Maybe it’s because of their lavish lives, maybe it’s because we can semi relate to their extravagant, dramatic, problems or maybe it’s a little of both. This guilty pleasure probably is instilled in more people you know because reality shows bring in the big bucks. Have you ever been curious which stars make the most money? Well wonder no more… we compiled a list for you of the richest reality stars of 2016.



20. Tamra Barney – $350,000
Tamra appears on The Real Housewives of Orange County and makes a not too shabby $350,000 a year… pocket change when it comes to some of her housewife friends however
19. Vicki Gunvalson – $500,000

Pays to be a housewife… Vicki Gunvalson, an original member of The Real Housewives of Orange County receives half a million dollars a year… TO BE DRAMATIC.

18. Lisa Vanderpump – $500,000

Lisa might make all of her money from her lucrative restaurant business but she also makes a pretty penny off The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills … half a million a season to be exact.

17. Teresa Giudice – $750,000

The famous housewife from The Real Housewives of New Jersey was bringing in $750,000 for the show even though she asked for $1 million. She plans on making some money off her stint in prison by writing a memoir and possibly doing a spin of show. She better hold off making any additional plans seeing as her case has just been reopened.

16. Willie Robertson (Duck Dynasty) – $1 Million + Bonuses

 Willie Robertson is the star of the A&E’s Duck Dynasty and is the one that can truly claim their rise to fame. Once Willie took over the company business, the show went from making $50,000 a season to $200,000. Last year, it was raised to $1 million. If that isn’t enough, Willie gets a bonus of $100,000 when an episode surpasses 5 million viewers.

15. NeNe Leakes – $1.5 Million

When Bravo started their ‘Real Housewives’ franchise, they struck gold. Every spin off since The Real Housewives of Orange County rakes in money for the company. NeNe Leakes starred on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and was reportedly making 1.5 million a season when she was a regular.

14. Kim Kardashian – $1.6 Million

Surprised that Kim is so low on this list? So are we. Keeping Up With The Kardashians does bring the family some big money but since the family is so large, it has to be split 10 something ways. Kim reportedly makes $80,000 an episode. Where does the real money come from? Her fashion empire, and make up products… not to mention her app for which Kim alone earned $85 million.

13. Nicole “Snooki” LaValle – $2.275 Million

Snooki was such an iconic star on Jersey Shore and although she seemed less than stupid, she managed to handle her business and finances pretty well. She now has her own spin off show which supports her lifestyle and can additionally bring in up to 5 figures for any public appearance or speech she makes.

12. Gordon Ramsay – $3.6 Million

This world renowned chef’s temper is what makes him so popular on TV and essentially what makes the man filthy rich. He makes $225,000 per episode on any cooking show he appears on (3.6 million a year). Additionally, he owns 33 restaurants that are valued at $120 million. Who knew a short temper could make so much money?

11. Keith Urban – $5 Million


Being a world famous country star isn’t enough for this musician. Before being a judge on American Idol, his net worth was $75 million. The show allegedly offered him $5 million a year for his judging capabilities


10. Blake Shelton – $6 Million

Apparently, judging people is a very lucrative business. When Blake Shelton agreed to judge The Voice, the TV show offered him $6 million a season and he’s been sitting in that chair ever since.

9. Pharrell Williams – $8 Million

Not all judges are paid equal however. When Cee Lo Green abandoned The Voice, the show offered $8 million to Pharrell to take his place. Apparently, it was a good call because since he’s started judging, the show has gotten a boost in views.

8. Adam Levine – $10 – $12 Million

Now here’s where things could get a little dicey. Blake and Adam have both been on The Voice for the same amount of time but Adam gets paid almost double for judging the show. Perhaps because of his elevated status being the frontman of the ever popular band, Maroon 5. We wonder if this causes any stress in their friendship.  

7. Christina Aguilera – $12.5 million

Can’t leave out this lady when it comes to judging singers. Christina made $12.5 million her first season but since she has become so popular, she allegedly is getting paid almost $17 million for season 10 of The Voice. Talk about breaking that glass ceiling!  

6. Ryan Seacrest – $15 Million

Ryan Seacrest may be the most recognizable name in reality TV. When he was excelling at hosting American Idol, he was raking in $15 million a year. Now, with his company Seacrest Entertainment, he continues to receive revenue from his shows, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution and Married to Jonas.

5. Howard Stern – $15 Million

Another huge superstar outside of reality TV is Howard Stern. Just from his radio hosting abilities, the man is worth almost half a billion dollars. So, when America’s Got Talent had to replace Pierce Morgan as a judge, they offered Howard his hefty $15 million salary a year for the gig.

4. Jennifer Lopez – $17.5 Million

Booking the most famous Latin superstar as an American Idol judge didn’t come cheap to the franchise. They dished out $17.5 million a season for Jenny but unfortunately, she didn’t bring in the views the show would have liked.

3. Tyra Banks – $18 Million

As being a top model in the industry, it’s no wonder that Tyra’s America’s Next Top Model brings in thousands of views each week and these thousands of views bring in millions of dollars. Reportedly, Tyra makes $18 million a season, and with 20 seasons, that’s quite the happy bank account.

2. Judith Sheindlin – $45 Million

In all her years of appearing on the show, Miss Judge Judy racked up about $200 million dollars in revenue. After she retired, CBS failed to change the name of the show so the lucky lady gets $45 million a season in royalties for her name to be used.
